EU Project "Newlife"
Remote Pregnancy Monitoring During Sleep
Pregnancy and infancy are critical periods that have significant impact on a child’s future life and the mother’s overall wellbeing. Monitoring a child’s health before and after birth can help identify and treat any potential complications early on. Unfortunately, many health issues often go undiagnosed and untreated due to a lack of non-invasive monitoring methods. The EU-funded Newlife project aims to fill this gap through the development of new, remote and non-invasive technologies that do not pose any risks to the child. Specifically, the project will use AI and machine learning to enable early identification and treatment of health issues, ensuring that every child gets the best possible start in life.
As part of the NewLife project, Rekonas is developing and clinically validating the 'Venea' platform for expectant mothers. 'Venea' records sleep remotely and non-invasively in order to identify potential high-risk pregnancies at an early stage.
